Downhill Mountain Biking at Winter Park

  • Trestle Bike Park Winter Park, CO, 80482 United States (map)

We'll be getting lift tickets and riding awesome trails at Trestle for the day as Winter Park closes for the season Sunday.  Plan on mostly sticking to Intermediate/ low advanced trails and maybe 1-2 beginner warm-up runs.  Plan on having a ton of fun, but we won't be riding Banana Peel.  If you can comfortably ride the front range trails, you should be fine.

You will need your own mountain bike.  Full suspension preferred, but if you want to ride a hardtail - good on ya.  No e-bikes allowed on Winter Park.  If you want to, or need to, rent your own bike to try a full-on downhill bike, you are welcome to, but you need to be at least an intermediate rider and comfortable on downhill. Helmets are required (they don't have to be full-face).  Gloves highly recommended.  And if you want any body armor bring it, as well as some warm weather gear.  Just for reference, I use my regular bike helmet and gloves.   Other than that, just your normal mtb set-up -spare tube, etc.

Sometime mid-day, we'll grab lunch at the base and then ride for another couple hours.  Plan on finishing up around 3:30-4, or a little earlier if we're all tired.  This outing will be hosted by Mike Ladd and Mark Graffiti.
