If flows are low, we will still get out and go wade fly fishing.)

Indoor Shooting at Bristlecone
Let’s meet for coffee at Village Roasters at 8 am and then head over to shoot at Bristlecone. Some ammo and gun rentals (no full auto) will be provided. Shooting will be from 8:30am-10:30am before they open the range. Bring your own guns if you would like. This outing will be hosted by Tim Felton & Steph Harms.

Do you ever have the feeling you just need to smash something? I think we’ve all been there. We have the perfect way for you to do that. Join us to SMASH some bottles, followed by a total body workout (for all levels) and then time in a relaxation room all while connecting with other first responders.

Guided Rafting for Responders
Responders, let’s head out for a morning of guided white water rafting. We will spend the morning rafting and have lunch at Beau Jo’s after. Arrive in Idaho Springs around 8am and finish up around 1pm. If anyone has their own wetsuits or booties, they are welcome to bring them or we can rent booties. You can also look up on the website for recommended items to bring - swimsuits, shoes that can get wet, etc. If you have any questions please reach out to Kym at klong@revitalcolorado.org.

June Hand-crafted Knife Making for Responders
We will be creating knife handles for a drop-point skinner knife. Each attendee will leave with their own personally hand-crafted knife. No previous skills are required, and all supplies and equipment will be provided. We will begin by creating the basic look of each handle. While we are waiting for the epoxy to set (about an hour) we will cook a meal and eat together. After we eat, we will finish with each person applying the finishing touches to personalize their knife that they will bring home that day. This outing will be hosted by Chris Bussard.

Family Fishing Derby
One day a year, Colorado Youth Outdoors opens their ponds to the public. June 21 is the CYO Fishing Derby. Bring your own equipment or use theirs. No live bait, no fishing licenses, the ponds are catch and release. All ages welcome, and first-time fishers are encouraged to participate! They’ll have instructors available.
This will be a great day to enjoy with your family. Fishing in the morning, lunch around noon, followed by a flurry of raffle prizes.
The derby is full but they are opening spots for 3 first responder families.

First Responders Meet & Feed Highland Cows
Responders, et’s get together for some cow snuggles. Lucky Blu Ranch is owned by a Brighton Firefighter and his family and are excited to have us out to meet their moos. Get your cameras ready. During this event you will spend time with their beautiful Scottish Highlands and HighParks, spoiling them with treats, scratches, and even bottle feed some itty bitty calves. Following this meet and greet, lunch will be provided at a nearby restaurant. This outing will be hosted by Amanda Bader.

June Pickleball for First Responders
We will have 2 pickleball courts set up for 2 hours @ Boulder Pickleball. Whether you are an avid pickleball player or have ever wanted to try the game, this will be a great opportunity. There will also be an instructor for one of those hours to help new players learn. Paddles and balls will be provided. This will be a great way to enjoy a few hours of fun and competition. Food afterwards at Wild Pastures Burger Co. This outing will be hosted by Tim Felton.

We are excited to gather together over the summer and connect with other responder families in excitement of starting our Revitalizing Guardians group in the fall. Responder 4wheel Drive Day Trip
Join other responders for a day of exploring the Bunce School Road. This up and back trail with some tight spots and is moderate difficulty. You must have an OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) to participate and can bring other responders and or spouses along. There is a historical site that you will visit, have lunch around 11:30 and finish the trail drive at Dicks Camp Site. Estimated to finish the trail around 2 or 3pm.

2025 Budges Wilderness Retreat
Join us for our 4th annual once in a lifetime backcountry 3 day retreat at Budges Wilderness Lodge. If you want to get far away this would be the place with no cell phone service, a 2 hour ATV ride to the lodge, and riding on horseback into the Flat Tops Wilderness. This retreat will be for first responders to decompress, spend a few days in the beautiful Colorado mountains, connect with others and learn about resiliency. A large majority of the time will be spent on horseback and fly fishing the white river which will be an experience you will never forget.
**At this time we are asking for those who attended in the past to please allow for others to sign up first.** This retreat has already been paid for so once you sign up, please do not cancel.

Responding to Relationships (RTR) is a customized relationship experience that offers relevant and transformative skills to all U.S. military personnel, veterans, emergency responders, and their partners. Each five-star series is led by relationship skills experts and co-facilitated by couples with first-hand experience in the field.
For this specific retreat, there will be a kick-off event on Friday, June 13th that you must attend before the retreat in July. Everything is FREE and covered, including your hotel stay for 2 nights and childcare if registered in time.
We have had amazing feedback from other responder couples and highly recommend taking advantage of this retreat.

Noah's Ark Retreat for Weld County Responders
If you’re a responder who works or lives in Weld County, this is an awesome retreat for you sponsored by the Weld County Trust. Join a few other responders for an adventure filled time and connection with others. Plan on leaving with the group the morning of July 30th, camping in large tents, and returning by the afternoon of Aug 1st. You will get to experience guided fly fishing, rafting, rock climbing, bon fires, and other activities on the beautiful property at Noah’s Ark in Buena Vista. No experience required for any of the activities.

Torch Run for Special Olympics
We are partnering with the Arvada Police Department to provide this fun and unique opportunity to support the special olympics. You will start at 8am at the Arvada Police Station and run at a slow pace with the whole group down to the Capitol arriving around 10:30am. Motor traffic will be closing roads and providing a bus following the runners to provide a break and rehydration during the 10 mile run. After the ceremony at the Capitol at 11:15, you will then run with the Special Olympics athletes at 12:15pm to Ball Arena where lunch will be provided. Transportation will be provided back to the police department after the event. There will be other departments involved as well including Westy PD, Broomfield PD, Jeffco Sheriffs, Lakewood PD, and Arvada Fire.
Revital will sponsor 5 runners which will also include a tshirt. Each participant will have their own fundraising page if you would like to raise funds for Special Olympics.

June Suicide Loss Support Group
Join us for a virtual support group for survivors of suicide the second Tuesday of every month. This group will be for family members, co-workers, close friends of first responders who have died by suicide and it's also for responders who have experienced the suicide of a family member, co-worker, or close friend.

Learn & Grow with Equines - A Workshop for Parents
As parents we often times forget to explore tools we find most helpful in regulating ourselves. Join other responder parents as we explore what works for you and thus helps to co-regulate with others (our children). This 3 hour workshop for parents will focus on mindfulness, emotional regulation/co-regulation, communication, and connection.
This workshop will be facilitated by Jenny Bursed MS LPC ESMHL and Alison McCabe MS GEP.
Glow Golf for Couples

Join other responder families for some fun at the park before we watch Moana 2 on the big screen. This is being put on by the City of Westminster so there will be quite a few other people. We will plan on meeting at Westminster City Park around 6pm to connect, play some games, and find our seats (bring blankets & lawn chairs). They will have live music, pre-show activities, and food concessions that begin at 7pm. Feel free to purchase your own food there or bring your own dinner to enjoy at the park with us. Elk Hunting Seminar
"Are you new to Elk Hunting or just looking to build your knowledge? If so, this seminar entitled ElkHunting A-Z offers the opportunity to gain insight and knowledge from one of our Revital volunteers, Bob Terwilliger. Bob grew up in a family with a deep hunting heritage hunting whitetails in western New York State with his Dad and Grandfather from a very young age. Thirty-one years ago, he moved to Colorado for work which offered him the opportunity pursue his lifelong dream of hunting elk! His first 14 years years he spent hunting on his own with success and soon after started guiding. Bob guided full time for 9 seasons, 7 weeks every fall, taught the big game guiding segment of an accredited Outfitter's School and also been in a couple of elk hunting shows, most notable "The Trembling Giant" an elk hunting documentary which aired in September 2014. He occasionally gets asked to do Podcasts on the Elk Hunting as well. While Bob doesn't guide elk hunts full time anymore, he still guides a couple weeks each fall besides hunting on his own and with his family. This will be his 17th year guiding elk hunts and fly fishing, now working for Budge's Wilderness Lodge: https://www.budgeslodge.com/
During this seminar, Bob will cover a wide range of topics including getting started on where to hunt, scouting, locating elk, critical hunt preparations, gear, hunt strategies, calling, and more! This session is meant to be interactive as well, so bring your questions!"
