CYO is providing a great opportunity for responders to do an intermediate fly fishing course completely free of charge. This multi-day course with gear at the end, would be about $600-800. The course is 4 days long, a few hours each day. Starting Wednesday 5/6, Thursday 5/7 and Friday 5/8, the course will start at 5:00pm to 8pm. Saturday 5/9, it will be from 9:00am to 2:00pm.  

The course will go over the basic's from setting up your gear, knot tying, go over different flies, and everything else to help you be successful on your own. The course will also include guided fishing on their property to work on your skills, and at the completion of the course, you will have the basic understanding to fish in a variety of settings. Upon completion of the course, you will have the opportunity to schedule a guided trip with St. Peter’s fly fishing guide and you will be given some gear.

This is a great opportunity to learn a ton about fly fishing, and improve on your skills so you can go out on your own and enjoy it, plus get free gear.

They are providing 3 spots for current or retired responders to sign up but you must be willing and able to attend all 4 of the sessions. DO NOT sign up if you can not attend ALL sessions.
