Let’s get outside while we have this nice winter weather! The Rueter-Hess Incline in Douglas County, Colorado, is a popular hiking spot featuring a 132-step incline as part of the Rosie Rueter Trail loop, offering a short but challenging workout with views of the Front Range, including Pikes Peak and Longs Peak. The loop is just over a mile long, with the incline providing 232 feet of elevation gain, and is open from sunrise to sunset, with free parking and portable restrooms available at the trailhead.
*Please note that while the rest of the trail is stroller friendly the incline is stairs. The host plans to wear 2 yo in backpack. Stairs would be easily completed by kids 4 and up.
Afterwards we will drive and meet back up at The Exchange for some coffee.
