Downhill Mtn Biking in Winter Park

  • Trestle Bike Park Winter Park, Colorado, 80482 United States (map)

Fun Day of Lift accessed, downhill mountain biking at Trestle. If you are an avid mountain biker and have never ridden Trestle, you are missing out.

You need to have a decent full suspension mountain bike, and sorry - but it can't be from Walmart. It needs to have good brakes, and I would suggest a spare tube or tire repair. You also need to be an intermediate or higher level rider. We'll keep it kind of tame since we're in a group, and all the features have ride-arounds, but you should be comfortable on singletrack trails. We will NOT be hitting the Banana Peel Pro Line!! We'll plan on mostly doing blue runs, but see how everyone is doing. Please ride at your own comfort level.

Probably ride from 10 - 12, then grab lunch at the base, and then go another couple hours. You would be welcome to stay later too. I'm good for about 4 hours of riding until my forearms are done.

Helmet required. It does not need to be a full-face. You are welcome to wear body armor if you want. It is also a good idea to have a camelbak. Water bottles tend to not stay in very well, or you can leave them at the base.

This outing will be hosted by Mike Ladd for all retired or current responders.
